Anti-Matter is basically just conventional matter, however, instead of having a core of Protons and Neutrons with an Electron Cloud, it has a core of Neutrons and Electrons with a Proton Core.
Because of their polar charges, when Matter and Anti-Matter collide they annihilate each other, releasing all of their stored energy in one massive burst.
It is for this reason thatAnti-Matter is used in special reactors to generate power, either for an entire city or a starship.
