The Hardlight Guardian Power Armour is the standard Power Armour utilized by the Soldiers of the Confederation of Man.
Appearance[]
The H. Guardian Power Armour's most basic design is grey in colouration. The Armor is primarily composed of an internal exoskeleton not visible on the outside which are then covered by heavy-duty plates. To fill in the gaps between the internal exoskeleton and the plates, this space is filled with silver muscle-like fibres.
The back of the Power Armour has 2 fairly medium exhaust ports that constantly outputs heat while there's a larger, dedicated thruster on the lower back of the suit.
Other than these standard features, the H. Guardian Power Armour is highly customizable and the uniqueness it brings is highly encouraged in the force, as long as the content in question is not overly obscene.
Description[]
The H. GUARDIAN Power Armour without a Pilot or weapon weighs half a ton; with a quarter of the weight coming from the Miniaturized Cold Fusion Reactor which powers the suit. The suit can power and recharge the Cold Fusion Cells it runs on, or can swap said Cells for immediate power if there is an excess. The Armour stands at, on average, 2~2.4 meters tall depending on the User's height
Main Systems[]
These are systems which are integral to being a soldier in the Modern Era against Humanity's greatest threats.
- Auxiliary Systems
The Auxiliary system allows the User to run upwards of 300 km/h and up to 500 km/h when utilizing their Boost and deadlift upwards of 8 tons without strain and theoretically able to handle significantly more. The frame that comes with this System also allows for incredible flexibility for the armour despite its outward appearance; losing little to no points of the flexibility of a normal human.
- Sensory Acquisition Systems
This is a general catch-all for systems that deal in obtaining Information. Such systems include Life Detectors, Movement Detectors, Environment Conditions Data Collectors, Signal Detectors, and general health statistics of the present user. The most obvious one is the vision systems, allowing the user to see through high-definition cameras and also magnify their vision by up to 100x normal with no loss in visual quality.
- Hardened Shields
The majority of the power goes to the Passive Hardened Shields system which covers the armoured plates. This shield is self-generating from several ports across the armour that is barely visible. This shielding takes roughly 4~5 seconds to recharge from no structural integrity to full integrity.
Supplementary Systems[]
These systems are quality-of-life additions to the soldier in order to extend their life span when in battlefields and isn't strictly required to fight otherwise.
- Medical Nanite Injection System
The H. Guardian Power Armour possesses the newest in Medical Nanobot Injection Technology. The internal suit compartment contains 64 canisters of Nanites to be injected into the pilot or others. These nanobots gives the pilot multiple benefits, the main one being that it can seal and temporarily heal normally fatal wounds in minutes or even seconds in smaller cases. The second of which is how it acts like a stimulant; preventing them from ever being knocked out and enhancing their focus.
- Nano-Composite Gel Layer
The Nano-Composite Gel Layer separates the internal exoskeleton from the armour plating. This Gel Layer is highly heat-resistant, sometimes able to even completely negate plasma. It is also generally Force-Resistant and practically cuts down G-Forces felt by the pilots by 1/12th.
- Neural Interface System
The H. Guardian Power Armour is the first Exosuit to implement a Neural Interface system. The internal compartment which houses the Pilot is one large Scanner which constantly monitors their Nervous system for activity and allows the suit to quasi-Auto Pilot actions the Pilot would've taken faster than the neurons can send signals, shaving down reaction times to fractions of a nanosecond.
- Targeting Systems
The H. Guardian Power Armour is fitted with numerous systems which assist with Target Acquisition and more importantly, fine control. Coupled with Sensory Devices and the Neural Interface System, these systems are able to take into consideration all environmental factors and adjust aim accordingly as if instinct for the user.
Standard Armaments[]
- Stormlight Repeater: The standard infantry weapon. It is a Railgun Repeater and is particularly effective with the power suit which suffers little to no recoil.
- Storm Duke Hand Cannon: The standard secondary weapon.
Variants[]
- Forger Variant: A less combat-tailored variant used by Smiths who operate around forges and factories in Space.
- Deimos Variant: A more powerful variant utilized by Special Forces. Also called "Elite" armour.
- Mobility Type: A more mobile variant with thrusters on the shoulders and smaller thrusters all over the body for extremely fine control and mobility in any environment, allowing even temporary flight.
- The Hellerizer: A red, Pyrotechnic variant of the standard Armour. Is particularly notable for utilizing Plasma Throwers for hundreds of meters as their primary armament.
