Space Born Lifeforms that take the appearance of clouds of plasma

Living Clouds are colonies of Plasma Microbes, gathered together in massive swarm. They are large enough to engulf most starships.
They feed of gases from the top layers of gas giants, but they also feed on the toxic waste of toxic worlds, and are considered, the great recyclers of space. With enough decades, they can turn a dead, poisoned planet into one with the chance of bearing life again.
To protect themselves, they may hide on dead worlds, disguising themselves as an atmosphere, or they work to build of a charge and fire bolts of lightning across space.
They come into being when enriched Nebulae are turned into Plasma Storms and then eventually calm down. If the nebula does not coalesce into a new solar system, it would most likely give birth to living clouds.
